If you only wear a fraction of your clothes, it is often difficult to see what you own and you may forget what you have.

By having a clear out every so often, you'll have more space to see all your other clothes and give them a chance to be worn instead of buying new things.

We offer you the opportunity to ferret out those hardly worn items and make some money in the process by re-selling them.

This is how we work

At Sequels we only accept clothes that are seasonally correct, in very good condition, clean and no more than one or two years old.  Obviously if they have been dry cleaned or washed and ironed beforehand, then all the better.

We get offered many garments every day, sometimes as many as 100 a day and obviously we cannot accept them all.

Sellers bring their garments in and leave them at agreed prices. They collect the money when the garments sell.

Often garments we reject are:

• in good condition
• fashionable
• but perhaps “rather ordinary”
• or we have too many of the same.

There may well be times when we put a block on a particular rail or section when it is full.

This often happens with skirts, shoes and trousers.  We will then have several days of not taking these items so that we can create some sort of breathing space!

All this of course is most inconvenient when you have come a long way and then joined a queue so please do check the notice in the shop or telephone to ask beforehand!

As a general rule we do not take B.H.S., Dorothy Perkins, or supermarket brands as they are excellent value to buy new.

We also ask that you bring no more than 10 items in at a time.  If you have any more than 10 items, why not give us a call and we will be happy to come and visit you personally, saving you even more time and money!

Generally you can take your items into any of our Sequels shops.  All our staff are fully trained.  Our quest is to be quick and efficient, present well and sell as many of your clothes as we can, keep all of our buying customers happy and confident knowing that when shopping for clothes with us they will be getting garments in great condition, up to date and excellent value!!

So – sort out your cupboards. If you have not worn something for a season, the chances are you will not wear it again. Not only will you have space in your cupboards but cash in your hand!!

The majority of the clothes are brought in by regulars who simply need the wardrobe space. Often they have hectic business and social commitments that entail round after round of first nights, cocktail parties, black tie dinners and the occasional ball.

The outfits are usually only worn a few times, often just once. It’s nice for sellers to get a little back. And the beautiful garments that they loved will go to new owners, where they will be worn and appreciated.
